Happy New Year!

I don’t really believe in time, especially the significance of arbitrary dates. I mean, what with the various tweaks and corrections that our not-quite-three-hundred-sixty-five-twenty-four-hour-days trip this little dot takes around the sun requires makes the whole thing seem objectively a bit silly.

Nevertheless, this Gregorian Calendar of ours does turn over tonight, and though this is an arbitrary point, it’s still culturally significant. So, I’ve decided to post this joyful little ditty from the height of soviet Russia to celebrate. Thanks for reading my blog, and Happy New Year!! See you on the flip-side of the calendar.
